How StaySereno Began

StaySereno was born out of a simple idea — that holidays should be joyous, seamless, and memorable, not stressful or unpredictable.

Our journey started when our founder, Spandan first discovered this opportunity when he bought a luxury apartment in North Goa a few years ago. His initial goal was purely investment-driven — Goa was one of the rare markets in India, alongside Dubai, offering attractive rental yields of 6-8%.

The experiment worked better than expected. In the very first year, the apartment was booked for 327 nights out of 365 days — a clear sign that the demand for well-managed holiday homes in Goa was massive.

From Investment to Inspiration

But as we dug deeper, we noticed something important:

  • Guests increasingly preferred spacious homes over hotels for better privacy, flexibility, and comfort.
  • Yet, the Airbnb experience was often inconsistent - glossy photos didn’t match reality, daily cleaning was missing, and hosts were unprofessional or unresponsive.
  • Maintenance delays, lack of standardized amenities, and unpredictable service levels left many guests disappointed.

Instead of seeing these as problems, we saw them as an opportunity to reimagine vacation rentals in Goa.
